Parkfield Through the Ages
1963 - Potters Bar
Three separate small surgeries unite to commission a new dedicated medical centre for the town. It is to give the community the best care in General Practice. They name the new medical centre "Parkfield".

1970s
- CT–Scans are introduced to the health service
- General Practice expands services offered to patients and embraces vocational medical training
- Appointment systems are modernised
1980s
- Modern vaccination programmes improve child health
- Blood tests available at the Surgery Breast screening programmes are launched
1990s
- A new, much larger Parkfield Medical Centre is born
- More rooms and more facilities
- Computerisation of practice records starts
- Out-of-hours GP Services are created

2003
- Surgery extended providing extra rooms
- New rooms used by: Parkfield Patients Group; Chiropody; Physiotherapy; Chiropractor; Counselling
- Parkfield becomes a Training Practice for junior doctors and medical students

2010
- Surgery enlargement for extra facilities
- 5 New Consulting Rooms
- The First Surgery in Hertsmere with Speed-Lift access to upper floor
- Touch-screen reception system
- Internet booking and access expanded
- Patient communications systems
